London, 14/05/2016. Today, protesters, activists and members of the public gathered outside Oxford Circus' Topshop flagship store to protest against its owner Sir Philip Green. The demonstration, organised by United Voices Of The World union's campaign, was held to protest against the Topshop cleaners "poverty" wage (only £6.70 hour) and against Britannia Services Group (a "national cleaning company", http://britanniagroup.co.uk/ ) which suspended and sacked two cleaners (the so called "Topshop Two") for joining a union and calling for introducing the London "living wage" for cleaners. Similar demonstrations were held in 17 cities across the UK and were supported by Class War, IWGB, IWW, TUSC, SOAS Unison, UCU London Met, Unite the Resistance, Bakers Union, Norwich People's Assembly, and several other groups. The Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, John McDonnell MP (Labour Party Member of Parliament for Hayes and Harlington), was also there to show support and solidarity with the workers.<br />
