Today, the "Justice Alliance" and their Chris Grayling puppet dresses as King John Lackland were in Richmond for the second day of a tree-day march called "Relay For Rights" from Runnymede (Birth place of the Magna Carta) to Old Palace Yard (for the "Not the Global Law Summit" rally). From the organisers Facebook page: <<[…] February 23rd 2015 is the 799th and 8 month anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta. The Government is using this non-anniversary to host the Global Law Summit, "a unique opportunity to explore what the future holds for global business and the rule of law". This back-slapping corporate jamboree, partly funded by the Ministry of Justice, comes at a time when the same department has waged a slash-and-burn campaign on advice and representation, leaving people without deep pockets unable to get justice in court. Magna Carta represents the oldest historical commitment to equal access to justice in Britain. We are here to remind the Government of its duty to provide access to justice for all, and not merely to the rich. […]>><br />
