At Belmarsh Magistrates Court (south London), Julian Assange faced his trial to be extradited to Sweden where the Wikileaks founder has to respond to three allegations of sexual assault and one of rape. District Judge Howard Riddle said "the extradition would not breach Mr Assange's human rights". Assange was accompanied by his lawyer Mark Stephens and Jemima Khan (British writer and campaigner, Associate Editor of the New Statesman and European editor-at-large for Vanity Fair).
