London, 05/11/2016. Thousands of protesters gathered this evening in central London to take part in a demonstration called the "Million Mask March", which is organised annually by Anonymous, and held globally in more than 400 cities planned to coincide with Guy Fawkes Night (The Gunpowder Plot of 1605). The aim of the demo was to highlight social injustice and Government corruption across the globe, but also to protect the environment, freedom of the internet, oppose mass surveillance and austerity. The rally started in Trafalgar Square. Consequently, protesters marched on Whitehall, gathering in Parliament Square. Then, the demonstration carried on towards Buckingham Palace and The Mall, to end in the Trafalgar Square area, where a heavy police presence in full riot gears contained the last activists in few "kettle" arresting 47 people. <br />
