London, 28/06/2016. Today, around 5PM, thousands of members of the public gathered in Trafalgar Square under rain showers to protest against the EU Referendum result which is leading the United Kingdom to the so called "Brexit", in other words to leave the European Union. Around 7:30PM, people started to march spontaneously and peacefully towards Parliament Square. The demonstration ended around 9:30PM in College Green, a little park outside the Houses of Parliament where all the major media set up their portable studios and where politicians, analysts, commentators, experts and others give interviews about the outcome of the recent Referendum, the fallout and to try to forecast the future. While reported on the Channel 4 news that most protestors were 18+ (Which you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/Channel4News/videos/10153853076771939/ ), this was not actually the case. Protestors of all ages were present in significant numbers representing all the generations of the population. Previously, another planned demonstration called "Stand Together: London event" was cancelled << […] on safety grounds after an "unprecedented" response from Londoners. More than 50,000 people were expected to attend a London Stays rally this evening to show that "London stands with Europe". But organisers today confirmed the protest was cancelled due to safety concerns. City Hall also said the protest had been blocked because the number of people who were planning to attend exceeded Trafalgar Square's safe limit by 40,000.
