London, 17/08/2014. Today, "London Black Revs" held a demonstration outside the US Embassy in support and solidarity with Michael Brown and the people of Ferguson, Missouri. From the organisers online press release: <<On Saturday 9th August 2014 Unarmed Black Man Michael Brown was shot 8 times until he died, by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Since the Murder Michael Brown has been portrayed like a thug by the Mainstream Media and Ferguson PD have violently suppressed all protests, supported by some sections of the media who have branded protests "Riots" and labelled protesters "looters". London Black Revs are calling a Solidarity Vigil outside the U.S. Embassy to call for the US to stop violently oppressing, Black People and Black Protests. We stand with the family of murdered Michael Brown, and the people of Ferguson, Missouri in their fight for Truth, Justice and Peace I their community>>. Speakers included, amongst others, Carol Duggan (Mark Duggan's aunt) from the Justice for Mark Duggan Campaign and from the United Families and Friends Campaign, UFFC.<br />
