Rome, 29/09/2020. Today, the VIII Municipio di Roma (8th Municipality of Rome) supported by the Associazione "Il Tempo Ritrovato" and "La Cultura Del Cuore", held a rally at Maria Rosaria Lopez's Park to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Circeo massacre. On the 29th September 1975 Maria Rosaria Lopez and Donatella Colasanti were kidnapped, raped and tortured by three young-wealthy neo-fascist men, Angelo Izzo (20), Gianni Guido (19), Andrea Ghira (22), in a villa of Circeo, a wealthy seaside area about 100km south of Rome. Maria Rosaria Lopez (bartender, 19) was killed by her captors, Donatella Colasanti (student, 17), miraculously saved herself by pretending to be dead. From the organiser press released (1.): «[…] Maria Rosaria died that night, while Donatella left us in 2005 after years of struggles in the name of truth and justice trials which have traced a historical and cultural change in terms of condemnation of gender violence perpetrators and not of their victims. For the first time, feminist associations have taken civil action, shouting that for every woman raped and offended we are all women the victims of the violence […]».<br />
