Rome, Italy. 06th Apr, 2021. Today, Hospitality Industry workers, Autonomous workers (Partite IVA, VAT Workers), Gym owners, supported by far-right extremist movements and political parties held a demonstration outside the Italian Parliament in Piazza Montecitorio to highlight the dramatic situation of workers in Italy during the ongoing pandemic Covid-19/Coronavirus, and to call the Italian Government, led by Prof. Mario Draghi, to act for immediate investments, aids (Ristori), and policies to save their industry, and the whole Country. Soon after the inflammatory speech of Vittorio Sgarbi MP, a group of protesters tried to force the barriers protecting the Italian Parliament and violently clashed with full riot gears police officers while glass and plastic bottles, chains, smoke bombs and flares, placards, were thrown towards Palazzo Montecitorio and the police. The Demo ended peacefully after a series of arrests, people injured in both sides - police and protesters -, and a delegation was received at Palazzo Montecitorio.
