Rome, Italy. 05th June, 2021. Today, the Comunità Palestinese di Roma E Lazio (Palestinian Community of Rome and Lazio Region), Pro-Palestinian activists, movements and Parties of the non-parliamentarian, Left and members of the public held a demonstration in Piazza San Giovanni (1.). The aims of the rally were: showing support and solidarity to the Palestinian People; calling to keep the international community pressure's high to finally stop the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories and ease the tension with the Gaza Strip; to protest against the recent crisis between Palestinian people and the Israeli armed forces which began on the 6th of May 2021 with the decision of the Israeli Supreme Court to evict four Palestinian families from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, part of the Palestinian Territories under international law. In 11 days of Israeli bombings, the Gaza Strip alone has suffered the death of at least 256 people - including 66 children -, 6,000+ wounded – including 170 journalists - , and 110,000+ (data provided by the organisers of the demo) people displaced. In the same days of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip at least 12 people - including 2 children - were killed in Israel and 350 people were wounded. <br />
