London, 20/02/2017. Today, "Movement for Justice by any means necessary" (MFJ), On the day of national action against Trump & One Day Without Us for migrant, held a march from the University of the Arts London LCC to King's College (and another march met at King's College from SOAS) and then to Parliament Square to protest against Brexit and Donald Trump State visit in the UK while it is discussed in the Houses of Parliament and to call to "shut down London". From the organisers Facebook event page: <<[…] Brexit inspired and emboldened Trump and together they have strengthened fascism across Europe - to fight Trump's anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant attacks we must fight the biggest single attack on immigrant rights in our generation - Brexit. […]When we demonstrate in solidarity with the new mass movement in the US resisting the onslaught of racist, sexist, reactionary bigotry unleashed by the election of Donald Trump. We demonstrate in solidarity with the Muslim people, refugees, academics and visitor’s being held in airports or told they can’t fly to the US simply because of their religion. We demonstrate because we are inspired by the mass, militant mobilisations that have swept through the US, taking over airports and refusing to leave until those held are released. And we demonstrate because this is our fight as well; we too are in a defining struggle to reverse the deepening racism, immigrant bashing, anti Muslim bigotry and nationalism unleashed by Brexit. Brexit gave confidence to Trump, and to far right racists and fascists across Europe - no longer afraid to publicly spread their toxic racist bile under the cover of ‘the will of the people’. Solidarity is not enough – we must build an independent mass anti-racist movement here in the UK, ...<br />
