After 5 years of the Coalition Government (Conservatives and Liberal Democrats) led by the Conservative Party leader David Cameron, British people voted in favour of an end to the coalition arrangement. In fact, the Conservative Party gained 331 seats (36.9% - 11,334,920 votes) in the House of Commons which is a slender overall majority that allows them to form the next Government without the need of a coalition. The other results: Labour Party 232 seats (30,4% - 9,344,328 votes); Scottish National Party, SNP 56 seats (4,7% - 1,454,436 votes); Liberal Democrats 8 seats (7,9% - 2,415,888 votes); United Kingdom Independence Party, UKIP 1 seat (12.6% - 3,881,129 votes); Green Party 1 seat (3,8% - 1,157,613 votes); Democratic Unionist Party 8 seats (0,6% - 184,260 votes); Sinn Fein 4 seats (0,6% - 176,232 votes); Plaid Cymru 3 seats (0,6% - 181,694 votes); Social Democratic & Labour Party 3 seats (0,3% - 99,809 votes); Ulster Unionist Party 2 seats (0,2% - 114,935 votes); others 1 seat. <br />
